Schools in Ladakh are going to re-open after a long COVID-19 break

 THE ADMINISTRATION OF UNION TERRITORY OF LADAKH recently come up with a new notification for re-openong of schools after a long break due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Based on the reassessment made by the committee for Re-opening of Schools in Ladakh, it is hereby ordered that:

1. All the Govt/Private schools in Ladakh (From Class 6th to 8) shall re-open from 6th September 2021 strictly in compliance of COVID-19 SOPs and COVID Appropriate Behaviors issued by ministry of health.

2. Re-opening of Schools for rest of the classes shall be reviewed separately.

3. Chief Education Officer, of both the districts (Leh and Kargil)  and all the Heads of the KVs, JNVs and Privat schools shall ensure that all the stakeholders go through the COVID-19 guidelines/SOPS (annexed herewith as Annexure 'A') thoroughly and put in place all arrangements accordingly for re-opening of Schools.

4. All the Principals of Residential Schools including, JNV, Leh and Kargil  in coordination with

Chief Medical Officer, Leh and Kargil shall ensure that all teaching staffs/employees and all students get tested for COVID-19 (RTPCR) before opening of the schools.
