Aaye jo qiraa'n mai do sitarey
Kehne laga aik dusre se

Ye wasl madam ho to kya khoob
Anjam-e-Kharam ho to kya khoob

Thoda sa jo mehrbaan falak ho
Ham donun ki aik hi chamak ho

Lekin ye visal ki tamanna
Pegham-e-Firaq thi sarapa

Ghardish taarun ka hai muqaddar
Hr aik ki raah hai muqarrar

Hai khawab sebat-e-Aashnai'e
Aayeen jahaan ka hai judhai'e
